Default How do I change my oil dipstick

Hello everyone I was notified by GM yesterday after changing my oil that my dipstick tube has a hole in it... I have purchased the part from the parts department and it won't be in until Monday. Has anyone done this fix before?

"Notified by GM" ? By telephone, email, text.... what?

The last place I would buy a part is any dealership. Online prices dropped at your door will be significantly less expensive.

I just bought a dipstick tube on ebay for about $20. Genuine GM part.
As Doc says, the dealer is the LAST place to buy parts. $$$$$

Replacement takes about 15 minutes. One bolt thru a bracket on top, push fit into the oil pan on the bottom end.
