Hey I am new to the forums. I have an h3 that I purchased last december and I absolutely love it. I had a Jeep before it but it puts my jeep to shame. I am swapping my doorhandles for the chrome ones. A guy that I know wants my black ones. I was wondering do you have any instructions on how to do it?My service manager said we have to take out the whole door window do take out the handle.

 

I don't know myself..But I would use this function...Then type in "Door Handles"

 

I tried searching nothing useful. Is there anybody who did the swap?

so I dont have to take out the window then?

 

If you take them off by hitting them you will break a few of them, I did They still work if they break but if you don't want any broken ones then you need to take the door panel off and the door handle has a small round hole, you need to push that in with something and the door handle can slide out without breaking the retainer.

avoid breaking them by using only lateral movement to loosen...if you pull before they're loose, you'll bust 'em..

 

I tried pushing in the round hole and they still wouldn't come out.
