How do you get the horn to beep when locking the doors using the keyless remote?

 

Look in the owners manual. There's a way to set the remote/alarm to different modes.

 

The H2 you access the feature via the DIC and I believe it was the same for the H3 but you entered the mode via the remote, didn't read carefully enough but I do remember it's in your manual under "Remote Keyless Entry"?

The first thing I did when I got my new H3 home was to TURN OFF the beep !!

 

Thanks guys. I wanted ours on because I love to annoy my neighbors. Plus our Grand Cherokee had this and we are so used to it.

 

Lol. My woman made me turn ON the beep. I told her whatever floats your boat. She lets me do whatever i want to it and kinda gifted it to me. It was weird at first i used to hit the lock like 10 times while walking away. Making sure it was locked. I leave my iPhone and such in the car sometimes if i run into a store.

 

How did you turn ON the beep?

The manual only says the lights MAY flash and the horn MAY beep when using the Keyless Remote to lock the doors... says to program it in any way see the dealer!

 

Put your key in the ignition, press and hold both lock & unlock on your transmitter, the dash will display the code, press and hold your odometer display button to choose each number. 1 is no horn, 2 is horn on lock, 3 is horn on lock and unlock and 4 is disabled. Take key out and test.
