Mike; hilljob made a comment in one of his lightbar threads the other day that said "this is the break I've been waiting for" in which yesterday I responded "Break? I thought you were doing this as a hobby and for fun?"because somebody offered to hook him up with some dealer for distribution of his home-made products.

I haven't checked for a response yet. I tried to say it in a joking way, but you know me. I'm always suspicious of things.

 

yea, I caught that also. he also mentioned setting up jigs and stuff....jigs are used to repeat patterns....obviously he's in this to produce and sell more than a few.

 

It may not have started off being his intentions, but if it turns into something where he starts selling a whole lot of stuff on here, I don't think it would be right for him to be allowed to freely talk about it unless he's a paid advertiser.

I'm not trying to be a dik to the guy because he seems like a nice guy with great talent, but it can also start breaking the rules.

 

Has anybodyPM moosenubs and told him nicely to keep it to the classifieds because of our concerns?

Actually he kind of threads the needle. It is fine to post up a "look at what I made" in the H3 section, but then he will reply to some people and say just PM me if you're interested.....The second part gos across the line a wee bit.

 

I moved the subject thread to classifieds.

 

i feel that the difference between hilly and this guy, is that hilly is active, and this guy is not, at all...and so far, ive not seen things by hilljob that make me feel the need to PM him and tell him to throttle back..
