Sweet! I didn't have that one.
Thanks for all the welcoms guys.
So,
I guess the first thing I need to know is about aftermarket sources...
Ya see, I KNOW I'll be modding my rig, and since it seems a shame to throw away parts you paid extra for, I wanna see what's available for the H3.
For example: The factory OFFROAD package has a 4:1 transfre case on it. (which is definately something I want) Is it cheaper to buy a base-model and get aftermarket gears, or is it better to buy it from the factory that way. Ditto the question for lockers, and armor.
So, I need to see what's vailable and how much it costs... Where are the best sources for aftermarket parts?
Just FYI... I'm not interested in show-type goodies. Just functionality stuff. (nothing against the guys that go "Bling", it's just not me. But Hummbob, I love that gif in your sig...)

That's My PAVEMENT PRINCESS!!!!
I don't think you can go wrong with the factory Adventure series. The electronic locking rear differential, 33" tires and "off-road suspension package, all covered under WARRANTY. The pkg price is $2,075.00, I think you'd spend all of that and more on a locker, gears, and labor to have it installed, w/ no warranty?
Welcome Fozzy Bear,
I get to Norfolk about 3 times a year visiting my son in the Navy. (couse I travel the sky way, gas prices are to high to drive the H3 there)..... I know, where are my priorities! This is a great forum, tons of help and tips.

Go Adventure, I wish I had. Nicely integrated and all under warranty. I've used my warranty already for things that have worn out because of off-roading. You won't get that kind of coverage with after-market parts. I've also paid $ for things I've obviously damaged off-road. You'll want to add some under-body armor (only one supplier that I've seen-GM), maybe rear skid plates for the u-bolts (rubberduck4x4), rocker protection (GM and Rocky Road seem to be the top two here).
