What is it about the Starr system you are not happy with? When you mention quality, what issues have you had? When you say retrofit, you are talking about the Mosimoto type kit?

What is this newer technology you speak of . . .
D1s is old technology. but thats not the main thing you see. . .

Its the projector itself and mainly the lens!
D1s is only a bulb holder like d2s or H7,H13 so on. thats the same.

Do you have output pictures ??

D1S is the actual bulb, with the ignitor attached
D2S is the same bulb with the ignitor part of the ballast
not a bulb holder

the starr are alot better than halogen but when you lookat hokens pic of the low beam, see how the cut off is clean and sharp. my starr are not so clean and the light is kinda distorted. To me it seems that the actual projector is causing this. Im gonna try some from retro fit. The problem might just be that im too picky

Is there any cutting of the black plastic housing involved? I looked at the pictures but I couldn't tell. Also, I hate to sound like an idiot but could you go into greater detail with the instructions?

If any of you guys who are updating your headlights feels like shipping your original headlight connectors to Sweden, we have a member who could use them...
