Hi from Miami
I joined the forum last year, but have not posted up to now. Thing is, we have a blinged out 2007 H3 bought new and only use it sporadically. The original plan was to take it to Spain, but we are there most of the time and the Hummer is still Stateside and not looking like it's going anywhere.
We bought it originally with the "Agressive kit" as I think it was called. The hood louvre, door handles side and rear light protectors and 20" wheels all in chromed aluminum gave it a certain attitude but troubles began straight away.
The door handles were so heavy that they drooped and the doors sometimes wouldn't close. The hood piece made it a two man job to open the hood. The wheels corroded quickly. Every piece was replaced under warranty with the same type. As the warranty was expiring I got the handles, hood louvre and rear light covers replaced with chromed plastic. Still looks blinged, but the weight and corrosion problems have gone. The wheels were replaced with a more conventional pattern.

There was no such thing as an "aggressive kit", what you bought was blinged by the dealer or some prior owner if there was one. If your hood does not easily go up and stay there, it was because of the gas assist hood struts were bad.
Enjoy the forums.
Hi Doc,
I bow to your superior knowledge. Yes, the H3 was being blinged at the dealership when we bought it. The hood insert was a ginormous piece of metal that defied any efforts to raise the hood with one hand. When it was replaced by the chromed plastic insert, the gas struts could finally do their job.
