Default Hi from Australia

Hi, we have just ordered a brand new Hummer H3, can not believe the prices you pay in the US.....I would be driving a H2 at the prices you guys get them for.

Looked at a few H2, but they cost well over A$100,000 for a second hand unit, the one I looked at was A$127,000.

We ordered a Silver H3 luxury, for A$56K drive away for a 08 run out model.

They usually retail for A$68, plus taxes for a total of about A$74 K drive away, so we got an absolute bargain, also ordered some custom registration plates (HUM-33-V) for it.

At this stage we will be picking it up on Saturday morning..can't wait.

By the way we are located in Sydney Australia....

Welcome from Australia! Congrats! You are right, they are a bit pricey there! If I'm doing the conversion right (1.564/1), that's US$81k for an H2 and about US$36k for your H3. Enjoy the new ride.

Thanks,

Will post up some photos when I get it....

Looking forward to learning more about the vehicles, the Hummer has been my dream suv for years and years, I am finally in a position to afford one so I went for it, its now or never.

A Jeep Wrangler Unlimited was my second choice, and it was about 12K cheaper, but no comparison, took both for a test drive back to back, and the Hummer won.....I still like the jeep, but its not a Hummer

When I was undecided, the wife asked, "would you ever drive your Jeep and wish that you bought a Hummer?", and I answered:"possibly."

Then she asked:" would you ever be driving your Hummer and say to yourself:" Wish I bought the Jeep?". I said:"No."

So we went and put the deposit on the Hummer that afternoon, Mind you she will probably drive it more than me, as I have a work vehicle to drive to work, and would never take to Hummer to work, as I work in the highest crime suburb of Sydney, or Australia for that matter, and leave my car parked in a public car park, not a good spot for a Hummer...
