I'm trying to figure out what exactly the point of this thing is? Does this thing do something magically that the stock GM furnished key fob doesn't?

This seems like a $53.00 waste of money to me. But I fully admit, I am missing something.

 

I would guess it's a key fob and key all in one. I would prefer it the factory separate remote/key one. The less stuff in my pocket is a good thing. As far as programming it, i am lost on that one.

 

That would eliminate the stock one whacking the steering column scenario.
When offroading I stick in a spare key so I don't have to listen to that whack whack.
Would give you the OEM for a spare.

 

It's a folding key/remote fob. I've had the Audi and VW versions for many years and never had an issue. But who knows where this one comes from (well, we can guess). I think I'd only consider something like that from a known entity.

 

im sure glad i didnt throw away that tape that was packed with my keys and instruction book.

It says in his description that you program it with a Tech2...which is the dealers scan tool. They should do it for you cheap or free if you sweet talk 'em.

What year and model HUMMER are you looking to use this product on?

 

I just got my '08 blk/blk h3x 5spd with 1key only, so i needed the second key just incase that's why I was asking if anybody bought that 1. So Plz don't get it the wrong way !!!
