I've been working on all the parts I got yesterday. I installed the UBS, steps, vent visors, roof racks, tonneau cover, and floor mats today. Still have mud flaps, and a brush guard (once I find one I like).
For those of you that have black H3Ts, do you find that it is really hard to keep the scratches from appearing? I just look at mine and it has a new scratch!

THE FAKE CROME MUST GO! Sorry I'm just a black on black kind of guy, this weekend blacking out ALL the leans, painting the grill and brush gurads the right way. Also the whole scartch thing, it's a pain to keep up with them but it gives the T some character. Oh ya stock tires don't last very long, I had the BF tires and they lasted to 20,000 miles.

When you wheel with a black truck, you have to put the scratches behind you. If you don't, you will never enjoy the capabilities of the truck that you bought. You will drive yourself crazy trying to get the scratches out every time you get a new one. I have a 1996 Cadillac and it too is black and I buffed it free of scratches over a two year period. It brought back the shine without repainting.

I thought I would be the same way with my T. I have given up on the scratches because they will happen and I drive the Thruway every day. Scratches became the least of my worries. Now I have to deal with rock chips. Even worse, but I also take it off-road to get rid of the pavement pounder stereotype HUMMER owners face. I call my scratches Attitude.

Fantastic looking truck man! Looks great!!

Personally I like the chrome look on the front, it compliments the truck!

Yeah my poor black truck is covered top to bottom with scratches... I just spend some time waxing the hell out of it in the spring with hard shell waxes and it seems to be less noticeable, lol.

I got the Truxedo one. I had an Extang before, but I like that I can roll up this cover and use the whole truck bed if need be. I know you can do that to with the Extang....but I went for something different this time.
