I had one that gave intermittent low pressure even though the pressure was not low. During the relearn it was the only one that would not learn. Decided to get set off eBay. Had local shop install plus went ahead and rotate and balance. They tried to tell me that they needed to be programmed as well. I went out in the shop and showed them how to do it.

Nice not having to look at that little light.

Default Did you ever find a solution?

I replaced all five sensors. Tire shop knew what it was doing...reset them; still had the light and low tire warning. Raised pressure and ran reset; same. Lowered and reset; same. They gave up. Could this be some problem with the computer in the H3 (assuming it has one)? Really frustrated.

First, the H3 can ONLY monitor 4 sensors, so program ONLY the four on the ground. The sensors ONLY send a signal when your tires rotate (they go off to save battery life when stationary).

So.... if the knowing what they think they are doing shop programmed in the spare as one of the four, [ie. by attempting to add it after the 4 on the ground] since it is not rotating on your back door, it will not send a signal, and the TPMS will sound the alarm.

The tire PSI should be 38PSI cold to avoid false TPMS alerts.

I assume... that they put in new sensors that are GM TPMS compatible so we need not go there.

Default I think I have a different problem affecting the TPMS

I mentioned before on the Forum a problem with the braking system engaging at low speeds in parking scenarios. Suddenly, along with the TPMS not going out at all despite replacing sensors, it has become dangerous. Any low speed turn is causing the brakes to automatically engage and darn near lock. It's as if my foot is solidly on the brake while trying to turn. Heading to shop in moments. But, if this thing has a master computer of some kind my hunch is mine is crashing which explains the rest. Any thoughts? Feel free. I will share what I learn and have to have done. As of now - Tank (aka H3) is not safe to drive.

When you ask a diagnostic question, always include year, model and mileage.

It is not your brakes, your Transfer Case is stuck in 4Hi Lock and you are turning sharply on dry pavement. Work the T Case from Hi to Hi Lock, to Low Lock and back. You may have to be in an open area to back up while switching out of 4Hi Lock to 4Hi.

There is a ton of threads on this topic.
