Default Hello from upstate NY..

Greetings all, new guy checking in from the Binghamton, NY area.....Some of you may know me from assorted quad and crotch rocket forums where I go by the same user name..

I've been kicking around the idea of buying a new Hummer, mostly because I'm bored with my F-150 and want something new !!

As it stands now the H3 is the choice, H2 if I win the lottery..I really don't know a thing about Hummers so I joined to give myself a crash course before I start looking..

You can get a used H2 for the price of a new H3.... and if you look hard enough for the price of a used H3.... with the H3 Alpha starting to arrive to the market you might be able to get a deal with people dumping their H3's.... shop around. The internet is a great place to search.

Welcome.....

Welcome.

I have an 07 H3 (purchased in October 06) base model H3 with a 3" ReadyLift leveling kit and stock Goodyear 31 inch tires.

Lots of good 4-wheeling spots in upstate NY, my sister lives near Bear Mountain. Nice forest negotiation areas for remote camping and such.

Visited my cousin in Mt Snow, Vermont in December of last year and went out in the snow on steep hills and had a great time plowing through snow. I saw lots of 4wdsin ditches on the sides of the roads but I just cruised along.

I was down in Florida and found lots of small sand dunes to jump over and in New Orleans I did lots of water fording.

You'll have a good time no matter which vehicle you choose. I traveled with a pack of H2s at the May 07 Hummer event at Road Atlanta Georgia in my H3. I was following this whiteH2 in front of me and suddenly realize all of the H3s went the other way. I was having so much fun I didn't notice the "H2 this way" sign. I got an exhuberant thumbs up from my 3 passengers and followed right along. I did have the advantage of not having to back up as the H2s had to negotiating the really tight turns.

Look in my photo gallery fora few pictures from the Hummer happening event.

Nova...
