Hello all I have made a few post's but since I finally got my first few parts for my H3 I thought I would introduce and post a few pics. Just bought my H3 3 weeks ago and have a bunch of mods planned both mechanical and apperance some of which are in the mail now and other will be comming in the next month. The last mod I plan is for when they finally come out with a decent super charger set up is to do this. My goal is to have around 300 hp to the ground when I'm done. I haven't really figured out if this gonna be possible yet but thats my goal.This is my first suv as I have always had trucks but wanted some thing decent on gas yet still able to handle the winter and any off road situations I encounter (and no I am not afraid to get my truck dirty). I am a semi professional poker player and work for a very large company (which is the only reason I havn't quit to play full time) Married house kid all that jazz.Looking forward to hanging out here and maybe meeting some new people.

 

Well welcome coming from another newbie that probably doesnt rate to tell you that yet. Nice looking vehicle and I was originally from PA and looking at the picsit reminds me of were I hunt every year (Somerset). Good luck and again welcome, Mike

Nice looking truck! Black has always been my favorite color and what I’ve always owned until I purchased my white H3 Alpha only because they didn’t have black in stock. I especially like the tire & wheel combination.

I hate to say it but if you wanted 300hp you should have bought the Alpha and been done with it. I’ve owned pickup’s for the last 30 years, the last 3 being diesels and unless you owned a V-10 I don’t think you’re going to do a hell of a lot better with your fuel mileage with the Hummer then you did with the pickups. That's just the nature of the beast. Be sure to post some pictures when you’re done with your mods.

I am getting right at 16 mpg now and the truck I traded was getting 13mpg (dodge)so 3 mpg is a little better. I am pretty sure I can achieve 300 hp to the ground if I mod the hell outta the engine and go with a super charger. I might not get 300 but I think I can come close if not ah well. By the way300hp and 300 hp to the ground are differnt and I admitt getting 300 hp to the ground with an I5 might be next to impossible but it will be fun to see. I lookedat the alpha but all the ones my dealer had were in high 40's damn near 50k and I couldn't see the logic in getting a 50k h3 when I could have just drove off with an H2 for a few more k's and the ONLY reason we didn't get the H2 was 9 mpg .We drive from south central PA to atlantic city atleast 1 or 2 times a month and drive all over the place. I make pretty good money and I think it's foolish to just burn it up in the form of fuelas much as I would love to have one. If and when they would come out with a diesle H2 I would have the first one off the line.

 

Nice looking ride, do you live near the ski resort? Are you planning on taking it off road over at Rausch Creek?

i would recommend a set of rock sliders as the first investment as mine just cost $7000aud (so about $7500us)to repair from an incident with a tree stump
