Hello from Draper, UT
I joined up with this forum because I wanted to learn more about Hummer and what people who own them are doing with them.
On Tuesday, I start a new job with a large family of GM dealerships (two Hummer locations) as head of an after market division I will help create. Admittedly, I've never owned a Hummer, but I've done a lot of work on them when they first came to the civilian scene in the 90's.
I've been in the auto industry for as long as I've been working practically both on the factory side and the after market side. I've worked for Toyota, Toucan Industries and JL Audio for the past 10 years.
My ride is my off road rig as well as my DD (I love off road). It's a 2006 KJ CRD with a 2.8 turbo diesel engine re-geared DTT up front ARB locker rear. It's been wheeling in practically every state in the rockies as well as the swamps of S FL. I have no plans to get rid of the KJ since I have so much work into it and they are so rare in the US, but I would consider adding an H3 to the stable. It would be great if the Chinese add a diesel option to the line up (since I'm no fan of spark-infested engines). I'd also like to look at the feasibility of swapping the axles on the H3. I've been living the IFS off road experience since 07 and like to do something different.
I will use the search function to great affect, but please don't flame me if I ask a repetitive question!
Look forward to working with you.

There are some people working on solid axle H3 versions. Some have done the spring over conversion. A diesel H2/H3 would be great. About 30 of us will be in Moab from Oct 4-11. You are close enough to drop in for a few days. Come on by if you can get away. All Hummers except one Jeep coming out of Texas.
