Default Hello all.

Hey,

My name is Shane.
I currently don't own a hummer but I'm looking for that to change. Ever since I can remember I have always wanted a Hummer. And I'm talking about the old school H1's.

So now its the time to get to the plan.

I'm looking for a Hummer now and can't make up my mind. H1 or H2.

I love the old school rugged beast look of the H1. I love all that it can do and that its the original. Things like CTIS just make he so happy when thinking about it.

But I love the look and the feel of the H2.

Im going to be in the city, little to none off roading.

What are some things I should know when choosing between the two.
What are some of the huge benifits and downfalls of each.

What do you think.

An H1 is an off road animal. Heavy duty maintenance, not usually done with basic hand tools, and parts are not cheap.

You could use an H2, I think it would be a mistake to attempt to dive an H1 in the city... think about parking?

Welcome.

Yeah, the H1 isn't too friendly I guess.

But I love the rugged look and the oversized tires etc.

I guess I can put this stuff onto the h2 and I do love the new age interior etc.

Anyone have any good sites for grill's / step bars / lights / etc to make the h2 more of a rugged vechice?

I have an H2 and love it. It is a rugged vehicle as well. Not an H1 but as close as you can get and still be friendly on the road.
