so what is going on with this new guy trying to promote his site here??

 

Hi Patrick..If it was anybody else I'd say to hell with him..But he (Inked) has been a very friendly and helpful member here since he joined us and shares great interests in the H3..He lives in Hawaii and has very few outlets for H3's there...But like I said, he's a nice guy and credits this forum for the inspiration to starting his fourm and he plans on also staying current with us here too...I seen no harm and I think he and his site could be a nice ally...But if you feel that maybe a conflict of interest, I can understand that too...

Anyway, the guy is sincere in doing the right thing and since he is a nice guy..I thought a little promo for him couldn't hurt..Hope I didn't step on your toes..I felt if we show an attitude of friendly spirit it will give us (this forum) a good name..Some people call it politics, I call it being a good neighbor....

my concern is that this guy has only been a member for 12 days...and he just happens to have found such a love in the forum that he went through the trouble to open a forum, as insprired by this forum?

what i will do is i will go ahead and uncensor his link, but can we please make sure that he doesnt turn this forum into a advertising forum for his? the biggest problem is that when people open a forum like his, and begin selling banned space, it tends to really **** off our sponsors, especially if he say, has someone who is in direct competition with one of our sponsors, you know?

dennis, maybe tell him that i will leave that post up, but i have to ask that he doesnt "name drop" or "plug" his forum, although it is hawaii specific...

I 100% agree Patrick...although I don't think you have to worry as he has no sponsers..He more or less created his forum as like a back yard hobby and not for profit of any kind..Having said that, I will monitor any and all of his posts here and if it looks like he is using us for his own gain, I will ****** his posts off faster than he say Aloha and suggest to you that he be banned...
