Default Heated washer fluid

I had the GM recall on my H2 to remove the defective windshield washer heater. I found this company that makes a better replacement system. I think I will add this on my to do list someday. Welcome to AlphaTherm the world leader in the development of Heated Wash

I received my new washer heater yesterday. It took about 10 min to install. Works great and I am glad to have it back to working like it came from the factory.

You bought from the link above? I'm interested in this also as the bugs here in AZ are ridiculous especially on the freeways.

I checked out their site but what all does the install entail? I don't have the hot shot button or whatever it was called so it would have to be installed as factory. I'm assuming it replaced the stock pump?

My H2 came with the heated washer fluid so it was a real easy 10 min. install. If yours did not come with it then you will need to add wiring and a button. Give them a call and they can tell you what you need, very nice folks and they don't mind taking the time to talk with you.

ah so you keep the stock plain washer fluid on the steering column and add a button to use the heated only when you need it?

That is correct. My H2 is a Limited Edition and it came with a button for the heated washer fluid. GM had a recall and gave owners a $100 check to have it removed instead of repaired. I had that recall done last year and now found a source for a replacement heated washer and I was impressed with the quality and low price.

Calif phil,

So let me see if I have this correct.........

If you DO have the limiter edition H2 model, then you can use the AlphaTherm AT-37 unit.

But if you do NOT have a limited edition H2 model, the you could use the AlphaTherm AT-38 OD unit.

Would this be accurate to say????

Yes you have it correct. Did you watch the install video on the link? It shows how easy it is to install it. I think it's a great product and priced right.
