Default Heat/ AC control issue

2007 Adventurer package. Did aftermarket stereo over winter. I had 2 harnesses going into factory stereo ( was not monsoon. ) ran new speaker wires so not using the original set up.

I did search but could not find this exact issue. Blower control works fine ( already changed the recall issue) but I cant change temp control or the dash control ( from floor to vents to defroster) 2 out of 3 controls are not working.
Does that smaller harness have anything to do with these controls? I checked the plugs & wiring going to unit, they seem fine. Before I buy new unit, wanted to ask if maybe something was disconnected that was part of original stereo harnesses to control heat/AC?
I'm not a big coincidence guy....im thinking something may have caused this when stereo was changed...??? But the blower control still works fine.

Thanks in advance for any help here.

Time to go back to basics. Check ALL the fuses! There should be separate fuses for the blower motor and the HVAC unit.

Try this, unplug everything HVAC (3 connectors) in the center stack, disconnect the battery (both connections) touch them together. Then reconnect everything. Battery first.
