Default Headlights

Im getting ready to order some Nokya Xenon Headlight Bulbs and was wondering if i should stick with the 65/50w or is it ok to go with the 100/80, i had the 100/80 bulbs in one of my camaros and it never melted anything so im thinking its ok just wanted to check. thanks

You might want to do a "search" on this forum for that particular wattage
My gut tells me that 100/80 bulbs might be too much for the factory wiring.
They do make wiring harness kits to solve that problem
I used a wiring harness kit to upgrade to 100/80 bulbs on my old vehicle
and it worked perfectly
You may already know this info
good luck

Years ago, manufactures realized that they could use the bare minimum in wire gauge to any and all electrical components, to save money
I had a 1993 Nissan Pathfinder and I believe the wire gauge to the headlights (right at the headlamp) was less than 20 gauge
This was way too light for 100 watt bulbs (100/80) which draw about 8 amps.
Maybe you Camaro had better wiring.
I know they will come on and work, but you don't want to heat up the wiring and get less performance out of you new bulbs
My 07 H3 looks like it too has rather light gauge wires to the stock bulb
good luck

I hope they work great
The factory bulbs are really sad
I don't know anyone who has been happy with the factory headlights

My Pontiac uses the same bulbs in a bigger reflector assembly and it's passable. My guess is that H3 is the worst case of weak bulb and small reflector together. Silverstars helped but they only last a year in my daily driver H3.

Now I just use cheapie 110W KC driving lights switched on by the highbeam circuit. It's old school but it works for me.

ive used these bulbs 4 or 5 times and they are great, you can either get them from coolbulbs.com or you can save money and get them from ebay, just make sure you get the Arctic White! i saved 30bucks getting them from ebay on headlights and fog lights. heres the 100w and 65/50 part number
