I heard from a very reliable source, that Dodge is definately going tomerge with the extinct Studabaker.
OMG, when did this happen! No wonder my Studebaker sales rep hasn't called me to talk about the new 2008 models!!!

Actually, you got it wrong JM. GM is going after the intellectual property rights of Yugo, and going to offer a free Yugo 2-door in the flatbed of the H2 SUT for 2009 when you use GMAC financing. [sm=ts.gif]

I think this has spurned the rumors:

http://www.leftlanenews.com/2007/02/...-on-large-suv/

GM/Chrysler to collaborate on large SUV?
The Chrysler Group and General Motors are in talks to jointly develop a large SUV like the Chevrolet Suburban — something Chrysler doesn't have in its current lineup, according to a report by the Wall Street Jorunal.

Talks have been ongoing over the past six months, the report said. So far, no conclusion has been reached. The deal would save the struggling Chrysler Group a significant investment in developing its own large truck.

"Sometimes we can't do vehicles affordably so this would be a strategic partnership," a Chrysler source told the newspaper.

Good digging Hummbob. It would certainly explain the rumours JM outlined.

All kidding aside when I was at the Hummer dealer today that's all they were talking about. The service writer showed me a news release about it. It could be rumor, but it sure is the talk of the town.

Well, HK if GM doesn't do it , which somehow make financial and industrial sens, then plenty of the eastern big boys have their checkbooks ready, the last to declare his interest is HYUNDAY.[:'(]

Even me, being French, feel sad about such an american symbol being sold like an used piece of scrap.
Even if GM is not your prefered choice it's definitely better than HYUNDAY to me.
