The things some people will do. My truck lives in the garage and sees most driving on weekends. Over this past weekend- in some parking lot- Someone broke the rear red roof corner lights off my h2. Not only that but they ripped the bulbs and wires out. That means they climbed up on the rear bumper. The screws that secure them are still there as is the plastic tab from the housing. Needless to say- i need to order new ones. OEM replacements are crazy expensive so i plan on going with the smoke aftermarket. But my main question is- where would i get the wire and bulb connectors? I would hate to replace the whole wiring harness; but if i have to- so be it. Any guidance would be appreciated.

Before anyone asks- no i didnt back into something and those are the only ones gone- the brake light and 3 red marker lights are still there and operational.

Sometimes people really suck. If they only knew my truck was an 03 with 110k miles. Maybe then they would have left some freebees instead of taking!

 

That sucks. When you say if they only knew...... that is the problem, they don't know chit.

I am not up on where to get the H2 parts you asked about, but someone should be able to give some help soon.

Im north of atlanta. Yeah your right they dont know. You never mess with a mans truck! Plus- of all things to break- why the red corner lights? At least take the broken freaking mirrors! Heehehee!
I planned on replacing the roof lights anyway but i do like the OEM look. Guess this was the push i needed! I plan to go to the local auto parts store and take one of the front connectors and find a suitable replacement and match the wire gauge and splice a fix. Should be a pretty simple once i get the replacement covers.

 

I have been searching online for the roof lights- because not only the two big red roof lights were busted off as was the wires. I found online both red ones and it appears the bulb connector and wires are together sold together. If this is the case i will be jumping on them. I love the oem view of the roof lights and really dont want the recons. So im leading myself down this direction. Replacement looks easy- just remove the channel cover off the roof and the wiring harness and connector meet there. Pop and swap. Easy peasy. The only draw back- cost: $247.43
Ouch! But they are what i want and need. Anyone order from this place. Any feedback? Thanks for reading!



Next undertaking will be to find both door mirrors in 06 so they are compatible with the 03 harness. By that time it will getting ready for some new shoes and line-x everthing plastic including the silver grill.
