im ready to turn in my 06 h3 that i leased. the buyout is 25000, and i can lease another one for 33000 luxury pac like i have now. i called gm 3 times got same answer we do not negociate.one question, did they fix the back seat so it lays flat? i show great danes and with seat down a great dane cant get to comfurtible. it must be the only back seat that doesnt lay flat

 

GM's not doing leases anymore.. The dealer might be able to get a lease for you, but it's not gonna be nearly as good of a deal as you had on the 06..

I've heard a couple of folks say that GMAC is calling them up at the last minute and making a good buy out deal, but they won't do it almost until the day it's due to be turned in.

My buy out will come due in oct 09.. Buy out price is $27,900 or so.. I can get a new one for less than that right now. Used are going for as little as $18k. It's expected that by fall of 09 used H3's will be going for less than $10k at auction.

If they don't throw out a number close to $13,000 for buy out next year, GMAC gets another one back to sell on the auction lot, take a even larger loss onand I start looking for a 4 door Rubicon or WJ to build up.

It is my understanding at this time GMAC still will NOT deal on lease buyouts??? So, if they will not negotiate and want more off lease returns, the auction prices on used will go down, and you can probably write your own deal on a used 07 or even 08.
All of us who want to keep driving an H3 will get a good deal, but you will probably have to give up your own ride, and buy somebody elses used to do it. Silly, but that is the way it has been for a long time, except prices will be substantially deflated the next many months!

 

It blows my mnd that they aren't dealing anymore.. I know they used to.. I had a Rodeo leased through GMAC.. Original sticker of $28,000.. Leased 5 years and then did a buy out on a 5 year loan.. End price paid after interest and everything was only $27,600. Residual was supposed to have been $20,000 or so and I offered them $230 a month for 5 moreyears and they went for it.. Market for moving cars wasn't nearly as bad then as it is now either.

 

NO THE BACK SEAT DOESNT LAY FLAT!!!!! I HATE IT! IT SHOULD LAY FLAT AND REST UP AGAINST THE FRONT SEATS. I HAVE DOGS ALSO AND THATS NOT THE WORST OF IT...TRY TAKING HARDIBACK AND HITTING A BUMP...NOT FUN WHEN 15 BUCKS A POP IS SNAPPED BECAUSE IT DIDNT LAY FLAT.

 

OH AND THE PRICE THING.....MAY '08 I LEASED A 2008 H3 PRICE 41,000 FOR 375/mth

 

I made this so its flat for my dogs.....it folds up when the seat is up....and we can sleep in the back flat when camping...

Yes.... I can just put the seats down like regular then flip the board over and it lays nice and flat. very easy and the dogs can see out the window great...2 people can sleep in the back comfortabel as well...I think I posted in a thread how we made it.
