Default Hard to find vibration

Having trouble finding a vibration. It seems to be coming from the dash area.. but sounds like it's inside the dash. i thought i found it once. Small tubing that runs along the firewall was coming out of the clips that hold it. Put it back in and it went away. then it came back, and I checked the tube, but it still secure. think it might be the plastic roof cladding? i tried searching, but didn't get much in the area of my problem.

Anyone know if the roof plastic creates a vibe that sounds like it could be in the dash? Anything else I should be looking at? it's my wifes, so i only hear it evry once in a while. Just trying to save a trip to the dealer.. or at least limit my time spent there.

yours is an earlier 06, right? If so, did you ever get the plastic replaced? There was a noise/vibration/warping problem with them. I had mine replaced last year.

I haven't had the issue but here's one thread on it. https://www.hummerforums.com/m_40800/tm.htm. It's been described as you said - hard to find vibration, cured by the replacement of the roof rails. A few of us have also had windshield leaks but that's a pretty identifiable sound. [/align]

Cool, thanks guys. I thought it might be that from whatI remebered reading. I wouldn't call it a flapping sound, but ti just started doing it not to long ago, so maybe over time it would start to sound like that. Right now it's just a rattley vibration at speed. I was riding in the passanger seat once, and tried to pin point it.. I thought "dash" then leaned in and it wasn't that... then it seemed to be coming from the headliner.. not inside though. I figured it might be rails.. but then later found that tube and clipped it back in and all seemed well for a while. Now it seems it's back. So, we'll take 'er in and see what the dealer says. I'm sure it's probably the rails too. It is an 06, and they have not been replaced.
