Exclamation Half Shaft HELP

Hey guys it looks like my half shaft seal on the diff of my H2 is leaking quite a bit on the front driver side the half shaft itself is fine none of the boots are cracked. I've never takin the front axle etc.. apart or replaced anything. Does anyone have a write up on how to replace or issues I will run into such as such as new ball joints if they are easily broken on disassemble? I just need ANY help I want to do it quick before the gears burn up or cost me more $. Any one have that part number or where to get the seal itself if that's all I need? and additional parts you have used? Side note what is the best oil to run in the differential or what does oem call for? Not sure if it's ATF or not. Lastly do you run the same oil in the front and rear or anything special for having the locker?? THANK you so much for any and all help

Here's a couple of pages out of my 2005 H2 manual that will answer a couple of your questions. I had to have my seals replaced. It was covered under my extended warranty so the dealer did the job. Glad I had the coverage. The dealer said it was a $1,000 job.

[Edit] After posting the images I can see this forum has reduced the size to the point where they are almost impossible to read. The originals are twice the size and easy to read. If anyone has a better solution (short of typing all the text) let me know and I'll give it a try. [/Edit]

I have a 03 H-2 and I had the same problem but it turned out to be a bearing. $3500.00 to repair since it let go and destroyed every thing and the drive shaft dropped before I could get it into the shop. I was told by the shop that this is a common problem with hummer
