My H3T is easily low enough to get into my parking garage with the exception of the antenna. Why in the world would they make this antenna so high (my garage is 6'6" and it still slaps things like signs on the way in). Has anyone found a shorter replacement antenna? Is it easy to replace? Any loss in reception?

I haven't bought one yet...I should since it drives me nuts every time I back into the garage the antenna bounces off the garage door.

I got a Ami Billet Black Stubbie Antenna on my alpha.Thy come in 6 inch up to 21 inch,They even have polished ones.

 

yeah mine works great. Got it off ebay for like under $20 shipped.

 

That was the first thing I changed. Bought a flexible one off eBay for 14.99 dlelivered. Believe the reception is not quite as good as OEM antenna, but that is to be expected with a shorter flex antenna. This item is always on eBay. Here is one.
