Hello,

I am new to the forums so I decided to introduce myself. I love the truck and hope to get to know you all.

I hate to say hello with a question but I am going to

My truck has the offroad/adventure package and stock 33" tires and it appears the torsion bars have been tweaked to level the truck. I am hoping to fit 315/75/16's just the way it is. Any info is appreciated.

If this question should go somewhere else let me know please

Best Regards,

Kevin

Hi Kevin and Welcome to the Forum! To answer your question, You will be able to fit the 35" (315/75R/16) tires on your truck. Chances are you will rub the sway bar when you fully turn the wheel just like everyone else. It won't hurt the truck but it might drive you nuts. What tires did you have in mind?

R21 - Thanks for the info. I had read somewhere that 35's fit with full flex and steering lock with no problems with the adventure/offroad package and the truck leveled. I went back to find it now that I am looking to purchase tires and I can't find it again. I will take your advice and stick with 33's I suppose.

The tires I had in mind, though I am very open to suggestions, are the Maxxis Trepador 8060. Reviews seem good and I like the looks of them.

Here are a couple pics (Credit to www.gripston.com)

If I decided on these the only size close to what would be good is 35/12.50/16.

Thanks again.

If you stick with the 33" tires, you will be better off with keeping the warranty. I was talking with my service manager and he said they will put a lot more strain on everything. Nice tire choice though... I'm kinda surprised because everybody seems to want Duratrac's. Personally, I would run the trepador in the 35". I like the tread design and those are great tires for on and off road use. Happy Shopping!

Yeah, I am going to stick with 33's. It is a lot more stress. I think it could handle it but it isn't worth it. Plus if it does rub it will annoy me. I just got a screw in the side of my Duelers. What to get in 33's???

Later.

I am going to give the 35/12.50/16 Maxxis Trepador 8060s a try when one of my sets of tires gets bad.

I have 315/75R16 (35s) MTZs and I love the OffRoad and OnRoad performance.
Personally I think the "T" looks better with the 35s.

I would speak with your service manager and see if he is picky about modifications. My dealer in the Metro Detroit area has no issues with the modifications even a PCM Tune. But some dealers are VERY PICKY!

What's the little tab on the front tow hook for?

On the Passenger side? It is an AirDoc ORV Flag mount. some of the private and public parks in Michigan require you have a flag that extends at least 2 feet above the highest point of your vehicle.
