I have a 2006 H3 and it seems like a film has developed inside the glass (between the laminated layers of the windshield). We've cleaned the windshield multiple times but when you're driving at night, especially in the rain, the oncoming headlights reflect on this film and it makes it difficult to see the road. I read that there is a recall issue with H2 windshields. Has anyone experienced this with H3s? We will need to get our windshield replaced because visibility is so bad. I'd rather not have to pay for it myself.

I imported my H3 from a salty state to Lebanon and apparently this film is only from the salt on the road hitting the glass ..Bottom line, you cant get rid of it.
I changed my windshield, $ 120 here in Beirut and as good as new...

 

I haven't ever heard of this type of problem with the OEM (factory GM class) glass. Have you owned it since it was new? Was the windshield ever replaced that you know of? If so was it replaced with OEM glass, and not some kind of aftermarket replacement glass?

Seems to me that a 2006 would have had the windshield replaced at least once in 4-5 years of use. I do a lot of highway driveing and I replace one every year or so. That's why it pays to have quality insurance with free glass replacment.

 

I have never seen this at all.
