Default WINCH MOUNT

What do u guys think about this winch bumper?? I already got a mile marker hydraulic winch on the front. It's a pre runner brush guard with a built in winch palte on the front.

That winch bumper appears to hang very low in the front....could cause some approach angle problems.

Actually, it's high up. The plate sits right where the chrome grill stars...I think thats high enough. It's actually higher than most in bumper winch systems.

Well, I decided to skip the gym and finished the mount last night. It is completely installed and I am extremely happy with the end result. I cranked the t-bars 2.5 turns on my H3 to level it out. You will see that my mount does not affect the approach angle. There are no clearance issues with the front bumper or fascia. I ran the cables through the battery vent into the engine compartment. You can see no cables behind the grill. I also replaced the battery with a much more powerful Die Hard with top and side mounts. Hopefully this gives you all an idea of how to make your own mount. I also removed the decals on the on the winch solenoid body and will place the stick decal pictured last. It will be silver lettering. Figured I would add a little "cool" touch!
