Hey all -

Has anyone installed external amps/subs in their 2006 H3? I'm trying to hide 2 amps and a PS2 (the PS2 will be easy) somewhere in the vehicle so I can still use the majority of the rear "trunk" area. Does anyone have any suggestions? I've contemplated mounting them to the ceiling in the rear cargo area but that's probably a last resort.

Also - does anyone know where the current amps are located (I havethe lux pack)? Are they part of the factory head unit or are they located elsewhere, behind the dash, in the rear fender areas etc.?

Tentative Plan: amping the 4 door speakers (2 fronts 2 rears) with a 4 channel alpine V12 and I've got 2 12" W3 JL Audio Subs and an amp for those as well. I want to use the factory 8" (6"?) sub with its own factory amp and a crossover to isolate a frequency range between the door speakers and my subs.

Any input would be greatly appreciated!

 

I AM HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM...ITS NOT LIKE YOU CAN PUT IT UNDER THE SEAT LIKE IN A JEEP.
