H3 Wheel Damage
I recently noticed some etching or scratching of the finish on my H3 wheels. Not sure if it is from tire cleaner at the car wash cutting through, or other wear. If you experienced a similar issue, did you clear coat over them again, or sand and polish?
Thanks!
Thanks!
I took a few, but can't load from my cell. I'll try to upload them Wed. It has to be the harsh tire/wheel cleaner at the car wash softening the clear coat.
Still hoping to hear suggestions on polishing.
Thanks.

I don't think it is anything you did...ours did the same 2 years ago and I just use soap, water and soft brush on my rims. We have a 2007 and I called and got 4 new rims under warranty. When I called they knew exactly what I was talking about, so I don't think was an isolated incident.
Looks like worm marks right under the finish?
I don;t think they replaced my spare though...it looked fine back then, but it has them now and never touched the road. The replacements seem to be holding up good so far.
BTW, my 2009 Silverado rims have a similar thing going on to a lesser scale???? Still under warranty and I am thinking about it...
