H3 vs fj cruiser
Just curious if anyone has had experience wheeling an fj or being around anyone who has one.
I took my h3 out for the first time on sunday to a local "trail"
headed up just a regular spot on the path there was an fj stuck half off the trail in about 10-12" of snow.
eventually I was able to get around him and pull him back on.
my hummer pulled him out with ease and on the same trail i didnt even use 4low or lock except to pull him out.
the guy didn't seem to be the smartest but just curious ho much was driver how much was fj?
so does anyone know how well the stack up with a good driver?

yeah he was 4wd with a factory locker.
he had it in 4 low and locked and still couldnt get it out.
I remember when I teched a few years ago I thought the fj had no real frame but was more of a unibody.
I've always kinda seen them as a toy more than something I'd wheel but they are really popular here.
3 fj's on my street and only mine and one other hummer.
I've seen several lifted but dont think i've seen a lifted h3 yet.
maybe it just because they sit so low you have to lift it to do any wheeling

I like the Fj's, If it wasn't for the frame cracking issue I would get the wife one.
I've seen some Fj's off road and they go like heck, Frame issue aside, They are comparable to the 3 Imo.
I've read up on the frame cracking with the Yota forums, it's kind of a hit and miss whether Toyota will take care of it for you, They don't even really acknowledge that there is a problem. It's a spendy repair job.
Sure like to know what happened to the famed Toyota quality.

Yeah... with the issues Toyota is having these days, they don't want to validate any other issues. But voiding a warranty for taking an offroad vehicle offroad is pretty ridiculous. From the YouTube videos I've seen, there are some damn capable FJ's, but most of them have been lifted and had other mods performed. On a slightly different note, I like how the guys at the Hummer dealership get excited when the H3 comes in dirty vs. clean.
