Good view of the holder mounted in plastic window trim and OEM wire harness to that location with connector already cut off. This was my 07 vintage September 2016.

Oem flaw; leds were not waterproof! However, oem design has the needed heat sink.

Nice looking piece DOC.
If we had an H3 I would be buying one and keeping it in the HUMMER attic for "future use".

LEDs do not need any heat sink, but they were sure sold on this unit. The GM H3 rear high stop was over thought, over priced, over engineered to fail and then cost a bundle to replace. Proof that it doesn't work is that so many of us have them burn out.

I had a GMC work truck with 192K miles with a small 6-8 LED high stop light, mostly local miles, sold it with the original still in place working?

I was thinking I wouldn’t have to be the first to ask, how much? By coincidence I just noticed last night half of my stock unit is out, was just about to research replacing with LED strips.

OEM HEATSINK + WATERPROOF 12V LED Light Strip Red = On average LED's will not have to be changed for at least 20 years.
