H3 Sunroof ?
Hello everyone,
It has been a while since I have posted.
Hope that someone can enlighten me on the sunroof drains..
I have an '06 and about a month ago noticed (in heavy rain) when I looked at the back corners of the sunroof, water would come in around the seal... the water seems to be leaving the truck (presumably through the drain rails) as there does not appear to be any moisture or damage.
Should this water be leaking around the seals?
I asked the dealer and one of the service reps said the water comes in and goes down the channels and not to worry. This is how it works.
I would think that no water should come in and the channels/drain should act as a secondary means in case of a leak.
Can someone clarify?
Thanks,
/Mike.

I can tell you that what you described is what I took mine in for, only my drains didn’t work and I had big puddles on the floorboard. They fix the drains and replaced the glass (the weather stripping is molded to the glass) all under warranty.
Hey SS... thanks for the Reply. I will take it in and ask that they replace the seal/rubber around the glass.
The service guy I usually deal with (wasnt there when I made my original inquiry) said I should book an appointment for a water test and I wasn't interested to do so if what was happening was normal but given what you said, I better get it in ASAP.
Thanks!!!
