Can the H3 factory base radio (w/ single cd) be replaced with the H3 stereo with CD changer (picture below)?

Would i lose My Onstar Volume if i change the Factory Stereo with a after marker

I was told it can be replaced with the 6 cd changer factory radio, but if it was from a previous truck, the anti theft device most be reprogrammed, was told only gm can do that.

 

Yes - you can swap out the head units, but if you switch to a monsoon system, you may need to switch out your speakers, amp, etc. (different impedence IIRC)

Yes - you can use Onstar with an aftermarket head unit but you will need an adapter.

Yes - if you swap in another H3 HU your dealer will need to program it to match your truck's VIN.
