H3.........soon to own one
Hey all,
I currently own a 2005 Mustang GT and as soon as i sell it I will be buying a H3. I just wanted to know when the first H3's were bought - i think its June'ish of 2005 but i wanted to confirm this??
Also........when is the H3X coming out and is that a better model than the H3? I am guessing that when that one comes out the prices on the H3 will lower a little? I am buying a second hand one as I am sick and tired of losing money on new cars, lol!!!!!!!

With all the talk about head & valve issues, I would think twice about buying a used H3. I personally waited to buy an '06 later in the year (Aug. 2006) as there is usually some bugs to work out in a new line. Just my .02.

Nick,
My truck just came in and I got the Adventure and Luxury packages instead of the H3X. If you want the off road stuff you can't get a H3X. I think you could still go off roading but would not have the lower geared transfer case and rear locker. I like the off road look better. You can't go wrong with eithere it's just personal preference. Steve

I would avoid a used H3 also just because they arent much cheaper. Since we are technically still in the first year of production, the market price hasn't been set yet and dealers are getting away with charging only $2k or $3k less than sticker and calling it a good deal. I've checked a few used car lots and the H3's are still listed above $30,000 with 10,000 miles. But theres no data in the books yet about used value so they can do that. You can get a GMID from somebody and save more than that on a brand new one!

H3's are now on Kelly Blue Book (kbb.com). Good news the Hummer H3 hold there value. I priced mine on a trade and it said it was worth 29700. with 10000 miles on it. I went high even though I only have 7000 miles on it. [sm=groupwave.gif]
