Hello, I am new to this forum but was wondering if someone could help me out with this. I have an 07 H3 and have been having issues with it just shutting off. Once I put it in park again and turn the ignition it will start right back up. It began happening when I was at a stop sign or red light and not even all the time, just here and there but now its happening when I am driving, has anyone else had this issue? And if so what was the problem. THANKS!

 

Sounds almost like a crank position sensor? Is there ever troubles starting it? Does the truck give warning before dying?

 

No, there def. is no warning that it shuts down. I was actually at a stop sign waiting on traffic and pressed on the gas and nothing. No lights on the dash that would even tell me that it stalled or anything. It was like it didnt happen. I put it in park and it fired right back up. Obviously the raio or anything didnt shut off becuase of the fact it doesnt until the door opens. But yeah there was no warning at all.

 

Another thing is that the check engine light doesnt come on and I had it checked for any codes and there werent any showing.

 

Hmmm. Thats a weird one. Something major enough to kill your truck should be enough to trigger a CEL. I'm out of ideas, hopefully someone else can help you here

 

btw,,usually in most cars u can just bump into neutral,flik the key and be going in a split second,,could be a life saver , like a semi coming!!park requires a dead stop and is a time waster. also blocks traffic

i use park only when "parking"
