I have a aunt that works in the H3 plant in Shreveport, LA and she said that the 2007 H3 will offer a 5.0 liter V8 in it. Also she told me to watch out for the Apex on the doors. they are cracking were the welds are thin.

 

be cool if it happens but I think thats something GM would make public by now, 2007's are only a few weeks away aren't they?

 

Would be nice but from everything I've heard the 2008 will have more of the engine options, but nice that your aunt works for h3 plant, keep us posted with the inside information.

07's have a 3.7 242hp I5. no more rumors. I've heard so many its dum. And I've seen the h3x thats what was in it. also they'll be out in last week of august.

5.0 liter v8 would be nice though. h2 has 6 liter v8 with 325 hp. Theres no chance that would fit though. Maybe they'll make a small disel someday.

 

if they do put a diesel in it I hope it's not like the little crappy thing in the jeep liberty, them things have zero ***** and a terrible torque curve.

 

I don't understand why they would go to that extreme with fuel prices. Just put the 275 hp six in it from the TB. I think an 8 would be a nice option but , going in the middle of the current motor and the V8 would be better for H3 marketing...

 

this truck is so damn heavy and is so terrible in the aerodynamic(sp) department that a small v8 with cylinder deactivation would probably get better mpg that a 5 or v6. Especially at highway speeds, at 70mph+ you'be running alot less rpms than a 5 or v6 would.
