im trying to change out the rear pinion seal but i cant seem to get it free from the housing.can anyone share insight on how to do so.much thanks

 

you need to go to autozone,etc and borrow a seal puller, buy a sea; and follow instructions

ive not worked on gm stuff. on ford stuff there was a critical procedure when u removed the yoke nut. u had to measure torque of rotation,,and match that when u reinstall. on gm i think it it similar,BUT different in the process of setting the seal.

whilst i look for further info someone will fill in

i will add that misadjustment of the bearing load torque assures early failure of r end.
