Default H3 height and garage doors....

So I see that the H3 is ~74" tall without the roof rack bars and my garage door opening is ~80". I wont be lifting the H3, just leveling the front so I will be ok as long as I don't have anything on top when going into the garage.

Just wanted to see what you guys thought about the first time you had to squeeze your H3 into your garage?

Ive owned a superduty crew cab and 2 ford excursions all with 295 75r 16 tires. they all cleared the garage door by an inch. the radio antennas always smacked the door frame. now the H3 looks kind of tiny sitting by itself in a 2 car garage and clears the door easily

That is why my wife did not get the adventure package with the rack... our old house had a short opening on the garage... not an issue with our new home.

Nice and tall!

Our old house the H3 would fit, only if the garage was down, so inevitable it would not fit. Our new house it has about a 6" clearance with my roof racks on, so I am good. Thank god. I got tired of leaving it out in the snow and rain

Thanks for the replies!

Hail is the about the worst thing we get here in Austin for a car or truck, then there is the security thing. My H3 will be pretty much stock save for tires and a carputer.

I am guessing the roof bars would add about 4" just by themselves with nothing mounted to them?

I will need them but I guess I can always put them on for a weekend trip outside the garage if there is an issue, and that tall factory antenna will have to go anyway! I am going to experiment with a short CB antenna, I know I'll give up some range, but hopefully that one will clear too.

H3 fits in my garage just fine, but a little worried about the rack that's coming. It's the stealth rack from Gobi, but it's going to be close. Hail/Security is my thing, too. Luckily we're getting out of hail season.

Then there's the option of just going in fast enough the first time - truck should fit after that.
