No, the player is a console mount type. Looking at the picture in the post above, it's the part in the top center of the pic.You can watch two different things at the same time if you have an auxiliary input plugged into it.

 

where does the player mount? can it be mounted anywhere or is there a specific location designed for it?

 

You can mount the player anywhere. It is the size of a regular CD player but the outside is nice enough that it can be mounted with it exposed like a home DVD player.
