I'm going to replace my current H3 FRONT IMPACT BAR on my 2006 H3 and wondering if anyone has installed a 2008 one on their 2006. I'm assuming it should fit but would like to hear feedback. Thx Paul

 

OK, GM changed these parts due to front end collisions and added a lower crash bar thingy to the 08-10 H3/H3t. Yes, the Front impact bar (steel bumper) from an 08 will bolt up to an 06 frame. But you will need the Center reinforcement (aluminum front skid plate) from an 08-10 to span the space between the Front impact bar (steel bumper) and the steel differential skid plate.

Front impact bar (steel bumper) is the same on the 06/07 GM PT#15814973
Center reinforcement (aluminum front skid plate) is the same on the 06/07 GM PT#25979016

Front impact bar (steel bumper) is the same on the 08-10 GM PT#15870404
Center reinforcement (aluminum front skid plate) is the same on the 08-10 GM PT#15840018
