H3 In-dash iPad (Complete)
One of a kind, drop in, iPad bezel for your H3. Hours and hours were spent on this piece to allow anyone to drop it right in their H3 and be the only one with an iPad in their truck. As I said in my other posts, I traded my H3 in. I actually don't want to sell it because of how proud I am of it. It looks factory! I reached out to two shops (1 in CA, 1 in Philly) and they wanted a minimum of $1200 and said they couldn't make a permanent mount...clearly they were wrong. This isn't a bulky side-slider, its a permanent mounted iPad! If you need better pictures and are serious about buying it, please let me know. All the controls are also included. Price if for the piece does not include the iPad2 unless you really want that too, we can work out another price. Asking $450 for the bezel and controls.

The iPad is jailbroken, and therefore, when the car turns on the screen automatically comes on and the unit charges. When the key turns off, the display turns off with it. Multitouch is used so there is no reason to use the home button, everything is done by simply pinching the screen to return to home.

That's really cool. I've wondered if something like that but with a ~7" android tablet and integrated docking station (so you can remove the tablet if you want) was feasible. Wifi hotspot through your phone, bluetooth phone connection.. That's fantastic.

That is a neat piece. Carbon fiber?
stevek813,
Then you really will not like my set up!
Maybe you should stay on the porch and try rocking and chewing gum?
Discretionary viewing and voice commands or stopping or a navigator is recommended. Especially when flying the quadcopter scout.
You don't listen to the radio while driving do you?
Just funnin.
