Default H3 In-dash iPad (Complete)

One of a kind, drop in, iPad bezel for your H3. Hours and hours were spent on this piece to allow anyone to drop it right in their H3 and be the only one with an iPad in their truck. As I said in my other posts, I traded my H3 in. I actually don't want to sell it because of how proud I am of it. It looks factory! I reached out to two shops (1 in CA, 1 in Philly) and they wanted a minimum of $1200 and said they couldn't make a permanent mount...clearly they were wrong. This isn't a bulky side-slider, its a permanent mounted iPad! If you need better pictures and are serious about buying it, please let me know. All the controls are also included. Price if for the piece does not include the iPad2 unless you really want that too, we can work out another price. Asking $450 for the bezel and controls.

That's awesome but how does it work? How do you play music through your stereo? Turn on/off, press home button?

The iPad is jailbroken, and therefore, when the car turns on the screen automatically comes on and the unit charges. When the key turns off, the display turns off with it. Multitouch is used so there is no reason to use the home button, everything is done by simply pinching the screen to return to home.

I also have it set up so that you can have your phone in ur pocket and if you get a call, it interrupts your music, and you answer it via Bluetooth on the iPad and they ur car stereo. I'm pretty proud of that

Yeah but how does it play through the speakers without a receiver?

That's really cool. I've wondered if something like that but with a ~7" android tablet and integrated docking station (so you can remove the tablet if you want) was feasible. Wifi hotspot through your phone, bluetooth phone connection.. That's fantastic.

This is probably one of the most dangerous things I have ever seen in my life. I bet this thing causes more degradation in driver performance via distractions than drinking 8 beers.

Cool invention.... terrible idea.

That is a neat piece. Carbon fiber?

stevek813,
Then you really will not like my set up!
Maybe you should stay on the porch and try rocking and chewing gum?
Discretionary viewing and voice commands or stopping or a navigator is recommended. Especially when flying the quadcopter scout.
You don't listen to the radio while driving do you?
Just funnin.

You use a quadcopter to scout ahead? Some kind of FPV setup?
