H3 Cargo Rack suggestions?
Hey all,
I am taking a 2 week honeymoon with me, the wife and the 115lb Rottweiler through the mountains for winter camping/snowshoeing fun.... problem is, we cant fit all the gear in my H3!
Can anyone suggest a Cargo roof rack that is durable but doesnt cost $1100 -$1500 that I am seeing on some of these sites?
Anyone have a used one for sale?
Thanks in advance for your suggestions!

I like this one. Was thinking of getting one as well. I believe KSTREKER has one of these on his.

I JUST ordered that Defender rack a couple of days ago. Looked at a whole bunch and worked it down to the Defender and the Wilderness Garvin rack. I picked the Defender for the round tubing vs square for the Garvin (round will match my hilljob light bar and brush guard) and for the totally welded construction of the Defender vsbolt-together of the Garvin. Althought I don't think you can go wrong with either.

I have the Defender Rack from ORU also. It is much like the old Con-Ferr Racks. You can get shovel and highlift mount alos
Figure on about $500 when you add the mounting brackets.
The is some wind noise but I plan to add a fairing on the rack to reduce the noise. It leaves room for the sunroof
I put my gear in RubberMaid Action Packers and bungie cord it down and it works great.
Ive had the rack full of stuff 1 foot high and now worries so far.
Tool boxes, gas and water gerry cans, firewood, table shovel, high-lift jack and more.
An expanded metal floor could be added.
Other option are Yakima and Tulle racks

I can't see that Defender makes a fairing piece, are you just planning on fabbing one up or using another manufacturers fairing ?
