My 08 H3Alpha is in need of some side steps.She is victory red in color,has a crome brush guard,mirrors,door handles, and gas cap cover,18 inch Bridgestones tires with nice crome mags.I am thinking of two gm choices to put on,the crome tube steps,or the square black tube ones.Which one would you pick fora red Alpha.

 

I have the first style. I would probably swap in the second style if I decide to black the car out.

 

I'd go with the chrome, when I bought my steps the parts manager said his rule of thumb was to match the mirrors.

 

get the chrome to match the mirrors and door handles
and the rims

Patches, that is beautiful, just beautiful.

NIK1, I'd get the first one to match your chrome. If you went all black, I'd look at other black steps out there, maybe tube type, those flat ones may be a pain to keep up.Dirt and snow and ice getting caught in those grooves.

 

Patches... wow, flawless! Go chrome!!! I'm in the same boat.. trying to decide go chrome or go black.

 

The chrome looks good ours is red with black steps and I like the look it has. But either one I'm sure will do the job. You should be able to find many pics out there. If you have several chrome pieces, then you might just want to stay with chrome.

 

I vote chrome too. I have them and I love them.
