I actually was getting 14 MPG yesterday driving from Montreal to Toronto, even with my lights up and hauling a bunch of family crap in the back...what is more crazy is that I think this is good mileage! Oh well it is a new record for me!

Thanks for the "real" feedback, bought a 07 H2 last week, love the ride. Still have the sports car, may store the Hummer in summer, S2000 in Winter. 2001 s2000 with 19K miles, cheaper to keep her I guess.

The H2, what a nice soft ride for a 4x4. Had an 08 for 10 days, didn't notice much difference, but was at high altitude with takes about 20% of the power out. This is my third, had a Cherokee before the SUV craze in 88 in Colorado, a 2000 Suburban with all the kids, great truck and going to have some fun with this. I only put about 6-7K miles per year, fly too much for work, when adding up all the cars, so for all the other posters, I can afford gas, my home, food, dental, etc., but just that every pop up and side advertisement states improved horsepower and gas mileage and was looking for some straight answers from true owners (not commentaries on my balance sheet). Thanks for your reply though, the ride is remarkable for 20 something inches less then the Suburban and way better for the back and knees than the 0-60 in 5.5 sec.

Thanks for the reply, have really enjoyed the short time, one full tank full. K&N is a respectable company (actually with ads all over this board), thought a H2 driver may have bought a cold air intake, take just a moment here, don't think about gas price, but with a 32 gallon tank you could travel another 100 miles before a fill up on the highway at 3 extra MPG? I would buy it if it works, thats all the question is. Don't see much science on K&N's site though for gas mileage, increased HP, except anecdotal postings from first name and last initial (maybe never a good sign for a so called highly engineered product). Also, GM can always get more power, mileage, etc., Shelby, Steve Saleen, and numbers of others on the gas mileage side have done it for 50 years now, take off your spare for start (most companies are going that way already).

I get around 12mpg in town and around 15mpg on the freeway ... I don't drive it fast (65 on the freeway), heck, I don't want to get there fast because that would mean I would need tostop drivingmy Hummer H2... I have a Vet and a Prowler forgoing fast... but I love to drive the Hummer, I'm getting to old for the sports cars :-)

On my H2 the instant economy shows . . .
Newbie Question: I have seen many comments about instant economy. I can't seem to find how to display instant economy on my 2005 H2 LUXthat I recently bought. I can only see average economy. Is it me or do the 05 models not have that feature? (And yes, I have RTFM.)

I agree, if you own a hummer and need to worry about gas price, you better sell your rig and buy a MINI. For the record in SE PA gas is below $2.00 a gallon for the first time in about 1.5 years

I just took my '04 (stock except for KN Filter and 20's) from Denver to Boston and back. On the way out there I averaged 12.2 mpg at around 80mph for the 1800 mile trip. On the way back, I was pulling a 5x9 UHaul trailer (open) with about 1000lbs in it and averaged about 11.9 @80mph with the trailer pulling activated. I was happy with that.......
