That is the Ski/snowboard rack. It is locking and mounts to the cross bars.

I used my roof bars for the first time last weekend.... got some fence panels at the Home Depot....

I haven't used them yet, being 5'7" is a bit of a bitch when trying to put stuff on there. lol

Maybe you should invest in the receiver hitch step.... might makes things a lot easier.... the last thing you want to do is slip when it's icey out....

here is a couple pics from ice fishing last year it was like a summer storm brewing but in the winter very uncommon
