What do you guys usually tow with your h2? Does the shaking from the trailer cause the plastic on the rear hatch to vibrate a lot and causebthe rear hatch to me very loud? Possibly vibrating loose?
I towed with mine one time and it made the rear hatch to start creaking very loudly so I never tow with my h2.
Thoughts?

I have towed alot with both of my H2's, haul my 2 place PWC trailer almost weekly in the summer, my 8x13 enclosed motorcycle trailer 4-5 times/year.... hauled my Z06 to the race track on a very heavy equipment trailer (made to haul a loader with).

I have towed all the same trailers with my 2008 as well as towing a friends 32' twin bigblock powerboat on a triple axle trailer (~9,000lbs). I think it tows great, a bit bouncy with the short wheelbase and its no diesel but overall it tows really nice.

On a side note I have never heard any additional squeaks/rattles from the liftgate area when towing, absolutely no reason you should be getting noises like that???

 

I tow a 19ft jet boat... The H2 tows great and I have no additional nosies/vibrations when towing

 

well the reason I ask is my buddy had an 03. After he towed with it a while, the rear gate started creeking and squeaking alot. He took it and the dealer put all new hardware and hinges on the rear door which helped it for a little while. They also had a big fat bill waiting on him.

I have an 06 and it has its little noises but nothing like I heard out of his. I have always been worried about this so I NEVER tow with my H2. I didnt want it to make anything worse.
I was just wanting to hear what all of you guys had to say about it. Do I have something legitimately to worry about or am I a chicken?

Be glad you're not towing like the French. A few rattles would be the least of your concern.

That is the craziest thing I have ever heard! I tow with my H2 up to several times a week in the summer months during boating season. I tow a 20ft ski boat. No problems what so ever.
