I'm going to be getting an H2 sometime in the next year or so and I've lately been seeing a lot of air suspension problems and people just completely switching over to coils.

What are some of ya'lls opinions on the air suspension system?
Is it worth it to get it over the coils?
I know the basics about them
-Ride quality
-increased ground clearence offroad w/ button
-increased mpg on highway since it can tune itself accordingly to air flow
-built in compressor with **** to inflate tires
-different rims to allow for low air pressure

Anyways I've been looking mainly at the air systems but I want to know if it in the long run is worth it.



On a seperate note, what are things that you usually look for in the H2's on the side of features
I've been looking at 05's mainly, I cant' stand the speedometer on the 04 and 03 it looks as if I would be in danger of getting tickets with it, I'm use to my tahoe which I always hit cruise in 9 mph over the posted sign, legal max here.

Opinions on the speedometers?

Otherwise things I like are
- sunroof
- black interior, looks so much cleaner and well thought out
- alloy rims, not chrome
- black brush guards
- tire carrier
- and the rear middle arm rest/ drink holder on 04's up

 

I have had air ride on my 03 and never had a problem with it. I liked the fact that it had an on board compressor. I used it a few times for inflating tires. There is no Tune for airflow/mileage. The ride is better with the air ride but now that my 06 does not have air ride I am used to it and it is not very much different in ride quality.
I like the dash of my 03 better. The fact that I could turn off the seat belt warning and some of the extra readouts like instant MPG were nice.

 

So, which interface do you prefer on the dash the newer more accurate speedomoter or the white info center
Other then the seat belt and instant mpg, how is the ability to tell your mph?

 

I never had any issue with my 03 speedo, I thought it was accurate and I always push my speed to as much as I can get away with and I never got a ticket in the 4 years I owned it. The other feature on my 03 that I miss the most was being able to turn the auto door lock feature off. I hate the auto locking on my 06 and there is no way to disable it.

 

With air suspension disengaged is the adventure lower to the ground then the shocks?
