Default H2 to the rescue

Spent a great weekend out riding dirt bikes and blow stuff up in the desert. Sunday afternoon came along and most of the weekend riders cleared out. about 2 o'clock a younger guy comes tearing into camp on a mx bike begging for some help. apparently his buddy and another rider got into a headon collision about 4 miles back on the trails and he called 911 but no one would be there for another 20 minutes or so. I jumped in my deuce along with a friend who is an R.N. and headed on out to the scene of the crime. Found the younger guys friend ok. his bike was wrecked. a brand new ktm. the other guy was a 52 year old drunk ****ing moron. no gear on except a helmet that was 15 years old and didn't fit. his face went right through the helmet. his bone in his shin was visible. he was unconscious and had no "whites" to his eyes.

My Gal friend stabilized the guy and we got him loaded into the Deuce and headed back to camp. about halfway back a police Tahoe 4x4 intercepted us and said he would follow me. I could have left him in the dust as I was taking it easy on him and he was getting one and two wheels off the ground just keeping pace. but I was nice. anyhoo..we got back to camp and a lifeflight helicopter landed almost on top of me with my windows down. I now have about 15lbs of dust inside the Deuce. He went to the hospital, the poor kid was left to fend for himself by the police "I let him hang out with us at our rv until his friends came to get him and his bike to a doctors. he broke his wrist but seemed fine otherwise. pics to follow of the "landing".

Nice and now you know why this RN does rescue work with the local fire dept.
It is a blast. Aways and interesting story (and i work the ER)

Good work on the rescue.
At least you can talk to your buddies about the incident as you are shoveling out the interior of your truck :-)

Glad you two were there to save their bacon. Thank you for all you did and you should be proud of yourself!

Great job, I'm an RN as well. Unfortunately this type of scenario happened so much here in AZ most of the popular riding spots have been closed for well over 10 years now. I've seen some pretty bad accidents, some resulting in deaths and others not.

Oh I understand. I wasnt saying anything bad, actually I was commending her. I am an ER RN and have been for 15 years, but I also do volunteer rescue for my fire dept.

Just saying that it is interesting and fun to have things like that pop up and be first on scene.

Good Job to you both
